02No clear view of which channels drive qualified leads
03Reports that disagree with the CRM
What's included
Measurement built on verified data.
Scoped to what you need. Most projects use some of these, not all of them. We agree the scope after a short discovery call.
01
Tracking audit
Find what is missing, duplicated or misfiring today. We check GA4 settings, every tag and trigger in Tag Manager, consent behavior and cross-domain setup, and whether each key conversion fires once, and only once, on every form and booking.
02
Measurement plan
Agree which events and conversions matter, and how they are defined. The plan names each event, its trigger, its parameters and the business question it answers, so marketing, sales and leadership read the same numbers the same way.
03
GA4 setup
Properties, events, conversions and audiences configured properly: data retention, internal traffic filters, referral exclusions, key events marked as conversions and custom dimensions for lead source and form type.
04
Google Tag Manager
A clean, documented container that is easy to maintain. Tags, triggers and variables follow one naming convention, unused tags are removed, and every change is published as a named version you can roll back.
05
Conversion & offline conversions
Send qualified lead and stage data back to ad platforms where supported. When a lead is qualified or a deal closes in the CRM, that outcome can be imported, so campaigns optimize for real pipeline instead of raw form fills.
06
Reporting dashboards
Clear views of leads, sources and conversion paths. Each report answers one question, such as which channels produce qualified leads, and uses the definitions agreed in the measurement plan.
Who it’s for
—Marketing teams whose GA4 numbers don’t match the CRM, and who spend each reporting cycle explaining the gap
—Businesses running paid campaigns without reliable conversion tracking, so ad platforms optimize for the wrong signal
—Founders who want to see which channels bring qualified leads, not just traffic and clicks
—Teams that moved to GA4 but never rebuilt their events and conversions properly
—Marketers who inherited a Tag Manager container that nobody documented

We work inside your existing GA4 property and Tag Manager container wherever they can be saved, so historical data is kept. A rebuild is recommended only when the current setup can’t be trusted.

How it works
Every event planned, fired and verified.
01
PlanDefine the events and conversions that reflect real business outcomes: a qualified lead or a booked meeting, not just a page view or a button click.
02
ImplementConfigure tags, triggers and GA4 events in Tag Manager, with lead source and form details captured as parameters so every conversion carries its context.
03
VerifyTest every event end to end before reports rely on it: in Tag Manager preview, in GA4 DebugView and on the CRM record the lead creates.

How we deliver it
Four stages, with a clear output at each one.
01Discover
We audit your GA4 property, Tag Manager container, forms and CRM fields, and talk to the people who use the reports. The tracking audit lists what is broken, duplicated or missing, in order of impact.
OUTPUT · Tracking audit
02Design
We write the measurement plan: every event, conversion and parameter, the trigger that fires it and how it links to the CRM. Naming conventions and conversion definitions are agreed with you before implementation.
OUTPUT · Measurement plan
03Implement
We configure GA4 and Tag Manager, connect form and booking events, and set up offline conversion imports where your platforms support them. Each event is tested and marked verified before it counts in a report.
OUTPUT · Verified tracking
04Optimize
Once data has collected, we compare GA4 with the CRM, resolve the gaps and hand over reports built on the agreed definitions. Monthly support plans cover tracking changes when you launch new pages, forms or campaigns.

Works best with
One layer is useful. Connected layers compound.
Tracking is most useful when it connects to the CRM, so you see qualified leads, not just form fills. A conversion-ready website gives every form a clean event to measure, and the CRM supplies the later stages, such as qualified, meeting and won, that turn traffic reports into pipeline reports.
GA4 usually misses conversions because the event never fires, fires under a different name, or is not marked as a key event. Common causes are forms that submit without a page reload, which enhanced measurement often misses, tags blocked by a consent banner or ad blocker, and Google Tag Manager changes that were never published. Check the event in DebugView first, then confirm it is marked as a key event.
Google Tag Manager is a free Google tool that places and manages the tracking tags on your site, while GA4 is the analytics tool that records and reports what visitors do. GA4 can run without Tag Manager, but most business sites use both, because Tag Manager makes it easier to track forms, calls and ad conversions without editing the site’s code each time.
Track form submissions in GA4 by sending a dedicated event when a form is successfully submitted, then marking that event as a key event. The most reliable triggers are a thank-you page or a success message pushed to the data layer, set up in Google Tag Manager. Enhanced measurement’s automatic form tracking is easy to switch on but often misses or overcounts submissions, so test every form in DebugView.
A B2B website should track the actions that stand for real leads: form submissions, booked meetings, phone and WhatsApp clicks, and the CRM stage where a lead becomes qualified. Page views, scroll depth and button clicks are useful context but should not be counted as conversions. We agree the list with you in a tracking plan before anything is configured.
Track lead source by capturing UTM parameters and ad click IDs when a visitor arrives, keeping them through the visit and passing them into hidden form fields mapped to CRM properties. Each lead record then shows the campaign, channel and landing page that brought it in. Some CRMs, such as HubSpot, capture part of this automatically with their own tracking code and forms.
Conversion tracking records the actions on your website that matter to the business, such as form submissions, booked calls or purchases, and links each one to the visit and campaign that produced it. It shows which channels and ads bring real leads rather than just traffic. On most sites it is set up in GA4, usually through Google Tag Manager, and can be connected to your CRM and ad platforms.
GA4, your CRM and Google Ads rarely match exactly because they count different things in different ways. Consent choices and ad blockers hide some visits from GA4, ad platforms use their own attribution windows, and the CRM counts every lead, including phone and offline inquiries. A good setup explains the gap and keeps it stable, rather than promising identical numbers.
A Google Tag Manager consultant plans and sets up the tags, triggers and data layer that send your conversions to GA4 and ad platforms, then tests that every event fires correctly. Typical work covers form, call and booking tracking and connecting conversions to your CRM. We start with a tracking audit and plan and finish with testing and handover documentation, so your team knows exactly what is measured.
GA4 and conversion tracking cost depends on the number of conversions, forms, domains and ad platforms involved, and whether CRM data is connected. At Nevion Labs, analytics and conversion tracking projects start from $400 USD, or ₹15,000 for India-based clients. That covers a tracking audit and plan, GA4 and Tag Manager configuration for your key conversions, testing and handover. After a free 20-minute discovery call we send a fixed quote.
A focused GA4 and Google Tag Manager setup for your key conversions sits at the short end of the two to eight weeks our tracking projects usually take. Offline conversion imports, several domains or a full reporting build add time. If you already have GA4, we fix the existing property where possible, so its historical data is kept.
