Nevion Audit privacy policy.

01In short

Nevion Audit is a free Chrome extension made by Nevion Labs. It audits the web page you choose to scan. It has no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no tracking, and we do not run a server that receives your scans, the pages you visit or your browsing history.

02What happens when you scan

Nothing runs until you click the extension icon on a page.

• The audit runs in your browser. The extension reads the page you are on: its HTML, scripts, headings, links, forms and performance timings. This stays in your browser.
• It asks the site you are scanning for a few files, the same way a visitor’s browser would: the page itself, /robots.txt, the sitemap, /llms.txt, a few /.well-known/ files, a Markdown copy of the page, and one made-up address to check that missing pages return a 404. These requests go to that site, not to us, and its own server logs may record them.

03What is sent to Google

To show Lighthouse and real-user speed data, the extension sends the address of the page you scanned to the Google PageSpeed Insights API (googleapis.com). The request is made from your browser, so Google also receives your IP address, and it includes an API key owned by Nevion Labs. Google handles this under its own privacy policy. Nothing else from the scan is sent.

04What we collect

Nothing. Nevion Labs does not receive your scan results, the addresses you scan or any personal information from the extension. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.

05Stored on your device

The extension uses Chrome’s local extension storage, on your device only:

• The result of recent scans, kept for 10 minutes and for at most the 12 most recent pages.
• The previous overall score for each website, so it can show the change since your last scan.
• How many scans you have run.
• The report branding you type in: your name, client name and logo.

Remove the extension, or clear its data in chrome://extensions, and all of it is deleted.

06Reports you export

Exporting a report as Excel, Word or a web page creates a file on your device. Copying fixes or a summary puts text on your clipboard. Nothing is uploaded. A name or logo you add for branding appears only in the files you export.

07Permissions

• activeTab and scripting: to read the page you click the icon on, and only then.
• storage: to save the items listed above.
• Access to googleapis.com: to request the PageSpeed Insights data.

The call-to-action button opens our booking page on Cal.com in a new tab. That is a separate website with its own privacy policy, and the extension does not send it any scan data. Our website privacy policy covers what happens once you contact us or book a call.
